Support manufacturing objectives and goals through various manufacturing techniques for the assembly modules, specifically performing tests and build new products.  Responsibilities include performing a variety of moderately complex daily operations, inspecting own work, following all safety and environmental guidelines and producing work that meets the requirement. Responsible for maintaining a quality work environment and following all company policies, practices and guidelines. Work with engineers to carry out process development and improvement projects to meet department objectives towards cost saving and quality improvement.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS Educational Background  Intermediate Graduate or College Graduate with major in Mechanical  and/or Mechatronics. Preferred:Knowledge of set-up processes and/or test equipment
  Experience 
  • Be able to define colours correctly to identify materials and products needed.
  • 3+ years applicable experience in manufacturing setting in relation to trouble shooting of machine operation and diagnostic of production problems.
  • Machine Operator with programming knowledge
  • Understanding of technical drawing and basic chemical engineering principals to manufacture parts in high volume setting. 
  • Understand and adhere to all Company policies, processes and workplace guidelines.

1-Manufacturing process 70%

1.1

Perform precise, repetitive function to load small components using equipment or by hand in a high-volume manufacturing process.

  • Ability to understand technical drawing.
  • Handle parts weigh more than 20 lbs.
  • Use wrenches, torque wrenches, and screw drivers to install various components.
  • Use air dispensers to apply various sealants as required by the assembly drawing
  • Ability to create complex wiring harnesses for all system type products using hand tools, and various hand soldering stations.
  • Ability to solder wires to terminals using various hand soldering irons.
  • Ability to perform simple test operations using test equipment.
  • Ability to use complex test equipment.

1.2

 Provide real-time quality feedback by bringing up defects as they occur to prevent excessive defects from occurring and allow real-time problem solving

 Inspect own work for quality specifications

 Produce work that meets Workmanship Standards and strict quality criteria

 Crosstrain for upstream and downstream operations    
2-Manufacturing Support, Continual Improvement and Quality control 10%

2.1

 To use SPC tools to analysis defects and other issues to find out the way continuously improve and solving problem

2.2

 Identify potential opportunities for process improvement and bring them to the attention of area process engineers and supervisors for undertaking with implication of cost saving.    

2.3

 Daily react to production problems in real time to make sure that yield, rework and output meet targets – so that yield targets are met

 Provide supervising to ensure operators follow up procedure and drawing, and operators to support their needs and provide prompt feedback if they have questions    

2.5

 Implement verification and calibration for simple measurement device. Report and order to replace if device is damaged or broken

Follow instructions and procedures closely while offering suggestions for continuous improvement
3-Machinery /Equipment maintenance and set up 10%

3.0

 

 

 To check and support maintenance team to do preventing maintenance properly and in time. It helps to minimize machine down rate. 

3.1

 Set up, operate machines and ensure all parameters are accurate.    

3.2

 To make sure equipment used in line are calibrated and calibrated date is not expired. Implement internal calibration for equipment if assigned    

3.3

 Provide best practice for machine operation to operators.     
4-Report and documentation 5%

4.1

 Daily production report status to process engineer.

4.2

 Record and communicate production issues between shifts. Work with CNC line to get the feedback quality issue.    

4.3

 Review daily production log and other report for each workplace. Check machine logbook daily to ensure machine noted and checked for changes    

4.4

 Aid Engineering in verification of new products and help with the creation of work instructions.    
5-Other 5%
