Mechanical Technical Lead Engineer

Design, develop and release product sub-systems through owning high complex projects and working closely with engineering teams in India and the Product Group in Tualatin, USA/ Villach Austria. These projects can originate as part of New Product Development (NPD), Continuous Improvement Program (CIP), Non-Standard Requests (NSR) and Cost Reduction Collaborate with cross functional teams and vendors to develop robust design solutions that ensure functionality, safety, manufacturability, serviceability, cost advantage, etc. Accountable for delivering on time and with quality as part of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and obtaining necessary approval from stakeholders by following Product Development and Release (PDR) process. Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and New College Graduates. Proficient in concept design and development of complex components/medium-complex sub-systems by following PDR process - generated Engineering Requirement Specification, conducted Design Reviews, performed FMEA, validated designs through Prototyping and Testing and released Engineering Documentation Demonstrated strong Problem Solving and Decision-Making ability by applying structured process or tools such as 8Ds, Fishbone, 5 Whys, Pugh matrix, Pareto chart, etc. Experience in driving and managing projects in collaboration with CFT (Manufacturing, Supply chain, Electrical/controls engineering and Product safety) for project deliverables Expertise in Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, Serviceability, Cost principles, and Engineering Change Management Experience in design of Fluidics and Pneumatics systems and selection of OEM components like Fluid system fittings, Valves, Transducers, Pressure Regulators, Sensors, Gauges, etc.
