As a Wet Process Shift Lead Engineer, you will lead a high-performing technical team to achieve operational excellence in safety, quality, and equipment performance. This role is pivotal in shaping team culture, driving strategic improvements, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. You will serve as a key leader, mentor, and decision-maker—empowering your team to deliver results that impact the entire Fabs ability to meet strategic objectives for Micron. This role may require occasional travel to other Micron sites to support business needs.

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and communicate a clear vision for area performance and team success.
  • Align shift priorities with department and Fab-wide objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance yield, reduce defects, and optimize productivity.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

People Development

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and create tailored development plans.
  • Mentor and coach team members to build technical expertise and leadership skills.
  • Ensure succession planning for critical roles and foster career growth opportunities.
  • Promote Micron values and leadership competencies through daily actions.

Influence & Collaboration

  • Act as the primary liaison for Fab-wide issues, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal impact.
  • Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams (PEE, ME, IE, PI, Facilities) and external suppliers.
  • Lead meetings with clarity and purpose; drive follow-up actions to completion.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to influence stakeholders and present technical strategies.

Operational Excellence

  • Set clear expectations for safety, quality, and tool performance.
  • Oversee audits, compliance, and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Ensure robust documentation and reaction mechanisms for shift teams.
  • Lead projects from concept to completion, balancing scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Safety & Quality Leadership: Instill a zero-compromise safety culture and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Performance Management: Drive KPI improvements, optimize workstation balance, and reduce downtime.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide guidance on complex equipment/process issues and strategic problem-solving.
  • Fab Performance: Influence long-term strategies to improve output and reduce variability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to influence, lead and inspire technical teams
  • Consistent record to develop and mentor team members
  • Validated ability to lead by example in demonstrating Micron values and leadership competencies
  • Advanced understanding of Fab processes and area processing equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a consistent record to present highly technical information to internal and external audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to communicate and direct work across multiple organization teams
  • Strong Engineering problem-solving skills and the ability to efficiently organize tasks to completion
  • Intermediate PC skills (MS Office, Ariba, MAXIMO)
  • Knowledge of both scheduled maintenance activities and reactive tool troubleshooting processes
  • Proven skills working within a team environment to set measurable goals and achieve performance milestones
  • Demonstrated skill in adhering to protocols and operating autonomously
  • Flexible with job responsibilities and shift assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in TPM, SPC, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs and strategic planning
  • Strong track record in performance management and mentoring
  • In depth knowledge of fab 4 wet process manufacturing equipment
