Facilitate most supplier Global Agreement negotiations, renegotiations and contract addendums. Negotiate performance-based, preferred supplier agreements, to provide incentive for continuous supplier improvement. Advises commodity team leader on strategic plans. Represents strategic commodity management on a cross-functional strategic commodity team that focuses on supply challenges and ensures internal/external customer needs are satisfied. Works cross-functionally with product, manufacturing and quality engineers as well as procurement, finance, and product support. Define and monitor metrics in line with AOP (annual operating plan) objectives relative to supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement; then drives team to address and close gaps to meet objectives. Regularly evaluate cost and quality performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection. Develop and apply a strategic commodity plan to define a preferred supplier base for build-to-print commodities. Encourage and coordinate early supplier involvement on new product designs using the suppliers' expertise to optimize quality, cost and manufacturability. BS/MS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science) Twelve (12) years of experience in Supply Chain in similar role. Semiconductor industry experience highly desired. Requires excellent analytical and written/oral communication skills with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization including executives Previous project management experience and knowledge of basic project management concepts Experience with continuity planning and risk mitigation development with suppliers Experience in capacity planning, cost reduction approaches and lead time reduction Influence skills: experienced communicator with the ability to communicate critical thinking ideas and concepts. Capable of developing and delivering compelling arguments and presentations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and business processes Understanding of build-to-print documents (i.e. specifications/drawings) and function with semiconductor manufacturing tools Maintains current knowledge on relevant trends through professional networking, industry reports, trade journals, etc. Ability to travel domestic and international. <25% travel time could be required.
