Staff Engineer, Design Verification Engineering

Job Description Summary

The Data Center and Energy team is seeking a motivated and experienced design verication engineer to provide support to our Power Controller BU located at ADI’s Durham, NC, USA. As an individual contributor, the candidate will be working closely with a medium sized group of engineers. The project provides unique learning opportunities related to advanced mixed signal design verication techniques. Analog Devices ofers a Flexible Work policy which includes remote work days and alternative schedule options.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Verication of mixed signal designs and sub-systems using leading edge verication methodologies.
  • Contribute and inuence the decisions on methodologies to be adopted for the verication.
  • Architect the testbench and develop in UVM or Formal based verication approaches. Integrate the block testbench in chip-level UVM environment and verify integration.
  • Dene testplans, tests and verication methodology for block / chip-level verication. Work with the design team in generating test-plans and closure of code and functional coverage.
  • Continuous interaction with analog and digital teams in enabling top-level chip verication.
  • Support post-silicon verication activities of the products working with design, product evaluation, and applications engineering team.

Minimum qualications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in SystemVerilog/UVM.
  • Experience in EDA tools and scripting (Python, TCL, Perl, Shell) used to build tools and ows for verication environments
  • Experience in architecting and implementing Design Verication infrastructure and executing the full verication cycle.

Preferred qualications

  • Experience in developing test benches using System Verilog and OVM/UVM
  • Knowledge of test-plan generation, coverage analysis, transaction level modeling, pseudo and constrained random techniques, assertion based and formal verication techniques with System Verilog
  • Experience of pre and post-silicon verication test ow and automated test benches
  • Familiarity with verication on multiphase DC-DC controllers
  • Experience with verication of ARM/RISC-V based sub-systems or SoCs.
  • Experience with verication of voltage interfaces like PMBUS, AVS, SVID, SVI3 etc.
  • Experience with revision control systems like Perforce, Git etc.
  • Verilog, C/C++, System C, TCL/Perl/Python/shell-scripting
  • RTL design/front-end design experience
  • Experience with analog SV-RNM/EE-net modeling
  • Experience with formal verication methodology
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills are required.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
