Job Description:

The Senior Field Service Engineer is responsible for delivering advanced technical support and service to customers, ensuring optimal performance of FormFactor probe systems and accessories. This role combines hands-on maintenance and installation with leadership in technical training, escalation management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive product improvement and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance at customer sites.
  • Install FormFactor probe systems and accessories, including final system acceptance according to defined protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, providing support via telephone, email, and on-site visits.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers to ensure high-quality service.
  • Complete work orders and service calls in a timely manner, adhering to FormFactor standards.
  • Participate regularly in training and certification activities to maintain technical proficiency.
  • Conduct technical training and instruction for FormFactor Field Service Engineers and end-users.
  • Manage and resolve technical escalations, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments (Engineering, Product Management, etc.) to support ongoing product improvement initiatives.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to routinely bend, stoop, and lift equipment weighing between 40 and 80 pounds; heavier items may require team assistance or lifting aids.

  • Capability to travel extensively by air for U.S. domestic assignments and occasional international trips.

Education & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work | Required

Pay Range:

$72,100.00 - $94,605.00

Pay Range Explained:

This role in Beaverton, Oregon pays between $72,100.00 and $94,605.00 per year, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations. We offer a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), and paid time off. You’ll also be eligible for quarterly profit-sharing bonuses and flexible spending or savings accounts.
