Duties- Perform semiconductor device characterization and extract SPICE models for customer integrated circuit devices; apply advanced knowledge of integrated circuit design, device characterization, and device physics related to compact modeling to test integrated circuit designs; perform deep submicron CMOS and BCD device measurement and characterization with parametric analyzers, LCR meters, and related tools; use large scale data analysis techniques and tools to process characterization data and derive relevant electrical parameters; stress test integrated circuit devices to understand post stress behavior and Safe Operating Area (SOA); run simulations using Cadence Analog Design Environment (ADE); test structure layouts for various technology nodes, including advanced CMOS and BCD/HV for analog or mixed-signal products.
Responsibilities- Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus three years of relevant experience, a Bachelor of Science in one of the foregoing fields plus five years of relevant experience, or a PhD in one of the foregoing fields without experience. In all cases the position also requires: knowledge of semiconductor device physics sufficient to perform semiconductor device characterization, extract SPICE models for customer integrated circuit devices, test integrated circuit designs, and perform deep submicron CMOS and BCD wafer-level device measurement and characterization; proficiency with Cadence design tools sufficient to run simulations using Cadence Analog Design Environment; proficiency with VerilogA sufficient to extract device models; proficiency with Python/Perl or similar tools sufficient to perform large scale data analysis to process characterization data and derive relevant electrical parameters.
