As a Senior FMEA Engineer, you will support the deployment, education, and continuous improvement of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Control Plan (CP) processes within Micron’s manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with multi-functional teams to drive risk reduction, promote procedures, and help maintain robust quality standards. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in FMEA/CP and contribute to process excellence across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support FMEA and Control Plan Implementation
    Assist in implementing and maintaining FMEA and CP processes in alignment with Micron standards and industry procedures. Contribute to site readiness for audits and help ensure robust documentation and process alignment for FMEA/CP.
  • Promote Risk-Based Quality Culture
    Participate in FMEA workshops and training sessions to foster a risk-based perspective and continuous improvement.
    Engage in quality programs such as Quality Mentality, Manufacturing Disciplines, and Good Catch.
  • Monitor and Improve Key Metrics
    Track process quality metrics to identify issues and recommend improvements in FMEA/CP effectiveness.
    Support timely closure of findings and corrective actions related to FMEA/CP.
  • Technical Support and Training
    Provide guidance on FMEA, Control Plans, and related quality tools (MSA, SPC, etc.).
    Assist in developing and delivering training on FMEA/CP methodologies and procedures.
  • Multi-functional Collaboration
    Work with Fab, Planning, Procurement, and global teams to align FMEA/CP strategies and share lessons learned.
    Participate in network quality programs and recognition initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • At least 6+ years’ experience in the semiconductor or EMS industry with annual revenue in excess of $1 billion USD.
  • Solid understanding of FMEA, Control Plans, and risk-based quality management systems.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills. Self-motivated with good organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Auditor certification for ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949.
  • Experience supporting FMEA, Control Plans, and related quality tools (MSA, SPC, PPAP).
  • Demonstrated participation in quality improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in developing or delivering FMEA/CP training programs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and global teams.
