Senior Accountant

Nova is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller to join our Finance team. As a key contributor, you will process and oversee core accounting functions including accounts receivable and payable, tax support, bank reconciliations, fixed asset and lease accounting, and financial close processes. 

The ideal candidate brings hands-on accounting and business experience with a proactive mindset. This is a high-impact role offering broad exposure across the organization, with opportunities to contribute to strategic initiatives and grow within a publicly traded global company. 

You will report to the Finance Controller and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, FP&A, and external auditors. 

Pay Range: $126,000- $132,000 Annually (DOE)

• Process customer invoices, handle remittance follow-ups with customers, and review and approve sales orders (Accounts Receivable). 
• Support tax filings and assessments (sales and use tax), and coordinate communication with tax and city authorities. 
• Perform and review bank reconciliations. 
• Supervise Accounts Payable, including payment reviews, expense reports, vendor queries, and accrual preparation. 
• Prepare SOX and audit documentation, and liaise with internal and external auditors. 
• Manage fixed asset and lease accounting processes. 
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. 
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 
• Implement and maintain accounting systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 
• Perform additional accounting responsibilities as needed. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance  
• Minimum seven years of accounting experience, including public accounting. 
• Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance. 
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). 
• Advanced Excel skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. 

Advantages: 

• Experience with Oracle Cloud and Avalara. 
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations. 
• Previous experience in the semiconductor industry – an advantage.
