Job Descriptions:

Essential Function:

Responsible for supporting the coordination, planning, and execution of small-scale projects and assisting senior program managers in delivering initiatives aligned with Silfex’s strategic objectives. This entry-level role focuses on learning Silfex’s project management processes, tools, and governance standards while contributing to project success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and resource requirements under guidance.
  • Support tracking of project progress, milestones, and deliverables using Silfex-approved tools (e.g., Planview).
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting notes, status reports, and risk logs.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather data and ensure timely updates.
  • Help identify risks and escalate issues to senior program managers.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with Silfex Program Management Processes and related operating procedures.

  • Assist in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S.  Demonstrate ownership of continuous improvement ideas and activities.  Maintain organization and cleanliness, housekeeping and 5S within work area. Maintain these areas at the highest degree possible while responsibly escalating any maintenance issues.

                                    

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 0–2 years in project coordination or internship experience in a technical/business environment preferred.

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of project management principles.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with project management software is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands:

The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. The employee regularly is required to lift up to 10 pounds.  The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
