Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to drive the development and commercialization of Cube, an ultra-high-density system designed to meet the growing demands of HPC/AI devices for wafer, sC, and sCoW applications. This role will be pivotal in shaping the future of advanced semiconductor testing solutions and will report directly to the EVP R&V, who co-lead this transformative initiative together with the CTO.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Market & Technology Analysis:
    • Identify the best available solutions and opportunities in the market.
    • Evaluate potential partners whose offerings align closely with project requirements.
    • Perform comparative analysis of solutions from technical, economic (Cost of Test), and throughput-per-area perspectives.
  • Strategic Planning & Team Building:
    • Establish and lead a cross-functional team (internal and external) to develop the Cube solution.
    • Define the unique value proposition of Cube and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Customer Engagement & Communication:
    • Articulate and communicate the value proposition to customers and stakeholders.
    • Engage with key customers to validate requirements and secure early adoption.
    • Demonstrate the solution’s capabilities in real-world scenarios.
  • Product Validation & Commercialization:
    • Initiate and manage small-scale production validation campaigns.
    • Define and implement a roadmap for scaling to full production.
    • Set up or identify a dedicated division within Advantest responsible for P&L ownership of the Cube product post-validation.
  • Executive Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the CTO and EVP R&V to ensure strategic alignment and timely execution.
    • Provide regular updates and recommendations to executive leadership.
Qualifications

Candidate Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in semiconductor, HPC/AI systems, or advanced test solutions.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale technology programs and building high-performing teams.

Technical Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of wafer-level testing, sC and sCoW architectures, and HPC/AI device requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of system design for ultra-high-density solutions.
  • Familiarity with cost modeling (CoT) and throughput optimization.

Business & Leadership Skills:

  • Exceptional ability to evaluate technical and economic trade-offs.
  • Experience in defining and communicating value propositions to customers.
  • Strong negotiation and partnership development skills.
  • Ability to set up organizational structures and manage P&L responsibilities.

Soft Skills:

  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in CPU/GPU/HPC/AI ecosystems and semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Prior involvement in similar product from concept to HVM.
  • Established network within semiconductor and industry players.
