Product Engineering Intern position for Renesas’s Automotive-Power team.

 

This team develops some of the highest performance and integrated solutions in the market with a focus on Automotive applications. This team will also experiment with new ways of executing all phases of the IC development process. The environment will be highly dynamic and very fast-paced. All team members are fully empowered to make decisions within the scope of their job function and are expected to be relentlessly focused on achieving project goals no matter what the obstacles may be.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Silicon validation
  • Yield analysis
  • Parametric characterization
  • Reliability testing/qualification per Automotive AECQ-100 specifications
  • Wafer fab and assembly coordination
  • Manufacturability verification
  • Product cost analysis, and transfer to manufacturing. 
  • Responsible for sustaining products with cost reduction and yield improvement initiatives.    

 

 

Requirements:

 

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s in electrical engineering
  • Execute characterization and qualification plans and develop reports that meet technical and design requirements.
  • Device characterization: Work with the Test and Applications engineers to validate product performance and perform device characterization of the different products to set limits in the datasheet
  • Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Able to step into a difficult sustaining escalation, analyze data from various sources, and work with experts when necessary, providing a detailed action plan suitable for execution.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of circuit theory, semiconductor technology, mixed-signal circuits, statistical analysis, wafer fabrication, IC packaging, reliability testing, ATE testing, and failure analysis.

  • The expected hourly pay range for this position is $30.25 - $41.25.
