Identifying application to reduce cost by implementing appropriate process Execute should costing for variety of weldments including gas line weldments, frame weldments, and novel approaches to parts and assemblies used in wafer fabrication equipment Acts as an enabler to drive down Cost of components/assemblies by influencing Design for Manufacturability, Cost and Technical Cost validations. Serve as a technical process expert for complex problems across engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, product management, and suppliers to solve business critical issues. Develop and execute plans to qualified suppliers to meet new product introduction, supplier transition in a timely and cost-effective manner. Participate in design reviews and provide suggestions for value addition and engage in various activities with cross functional teams utilizing material cost/design knowledge to drive cost/quality improvement. Plan and execute vendor visits in conjunction with our SBM, MPM & SET groups to conduct research for development/validation of cost models. Evaluate new product needs and assist in developing advanced roadmaps including technology solutions, investment, and overall technology strategy. Deliver the results for Cost avoidance and Cost reduction projects In addition, you are expected to guide existing Costing Engineers and document best known methods in CPE processes. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years' experience; or equivalent experience. Skilled troubleshooting capabilities in the areas of electro/mechanical assemblies. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes. Proficient in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) with approach to structured problem-solving and decision-making. Proficient in software applications such as CAD modeling, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or Product Data Modeling (PDM) systems. Experience in Engineering Change Management Process. Working knowledge in Operation Method Sheets (OMS), process planning, and Bill of Materials (BOM) Management. Knowledge of Semiconductor equipment, Capital Equipment industry and its manufacturing processes. Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in English. Statistical analysis skills including statistical process control and data analysis used in production setting. Knowledge in Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA). Proven stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders or customers in technical matters.
