The Principal Product Manufacturing Engineer is a key member of a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the development and continuous improvement of MEMS probe technologies for semiconductor wafer testing. This role provides technical leadership in both pre-sales and post-sales activities, including product configuration, design proposals, yield optimization, and best practice development. The engineer will work closely with customers to understand technical requirements, guide product development decisions, and ensure successful implementation. Additionally, this position contributes to product roadmap planning and evaluates technical feasibility for new customer requests.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development & Manufacturing Support:
Lead new product development and manufacturing process improvements.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to build prototypes, alpha, and beta products.
Define and execute internal characterization and reliability testing plans.
Support product validation activities at customer sites.
Customer-Focused Technical Support:
Provide pre-sales application support, including technical product configuration and solution proposals.
Deliver post-sales support for test yield optimization and best practice implementation.
Assess technical feasibility for customer requests beyond current capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with marketing and product management to define technical requirements for new products.
Act as a technical resource in shaping product roadmaps and competitive positioning.
Continuous Improvement & Issue Resolution:
Drive product continuous improvement projects to enhance performance and reliability.
Support manufacturing and field service teams in resolving product-related issues.

This role in Livermore, California pays between $110,700.00 and $145,320.00 per year, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations.
