Job Summary 

As a Principal MEMS Engineer, you will drive the development of MEMS technologies and products that solve the world’s toughest timing problems. You will lead technically challenging MEMS engineering projects. You are recognized as a thought leader and MEMS expert with deep technical knowledge. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.

Responsibilities: 

  • Process lead for new platforms. 
  • Design and validate process flow based on MEMS design requirements and product requirements.
  • MEMS process development and integration to fab/foundry.
  • Drive continuous improvement in MEMS process and yield with MEMS Foundry.
  • Work with MEMS Foundry to Design and Execute experiments, analyze data, and present results with process change recommendations.
  • Design, run, and analyze experiments to understand device physics, materials in addition to fabrication.
  • Interface with local and overseas vendors.
  • Can lead cross-functional teams, including Circuits, Systems, and Packaging.
  • Drive and/or support projects and other company goals as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent. 
  • Minimum Ph.D.+5 or M.S.+8 years of experience in MEMS or specialty sensors involving semiconductor device simulation, design, fabrication, and characterization.
  • Track record of executing your vision and project delivery.

The actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors. SiTime compensation packages includes base salary, bonus based on achieving your innovation goals and equity.
