A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Principal EH&S Specialist at MKS Irvine, you will partner with Facilities, Operations, and R&D to develop and implement a world class EHS program. In this role, you will report to the Senior HS Manager for the Americas.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Reviewing Safety, Environmental and Health programs and procedures and modifying and updating as needed
Working with other MKS global groups to establish leading indicator programs and track their progress
Ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and reporting requirements
Lead the site safety team
Support laser safety initiatives at the site
Oversee contractor support for waste handling, EHS supply and equipment maintenance, and heath monitoring
Serve as the site emergency response coordinator
Travel Requirements: Up to 20% Travel is required
Skills You Bring:
B.S. degree or higher in Safety, Engineering, Environmental field or related discipline
10+ years of experience in EHS field
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering effective collaboration across teams, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and conveying complex information clearly and professionally
Ability to interpret complex regulations and their application to an industrial site with a workforce of over 400
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of health and safety functions within a manufacturing environment and the federal and state regulations
Incident investigation and corrective action identification skills
Environmental or OSHA related training such as HAZWOPER, GHS, etc. is desired
Preferred Skills:
CSP Certification
We are interested in a qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we will not be sponsoring work visas for this position, at this time.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Pay Range: $130,000 to $160,000 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
