Opportunity Overview 

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer Intern for summer 2025 to work closely with the Mechanical Engineering Group, which is responsible for developing our Semiconductor Test Systems. As a member of the Mechanical Engineering Group, the Mechanical Engineer Intern will have their hands in many ongoing projects and day to day tasks.

The length of the summer internship is expected to be May-August.

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, the candidate will apply their knowledge of Mechanical Engineering towards:

• Assisting in assembly and validation of Engineering prototypes
• Executing lifecycle testing on equipment in the lab
• Use SolidWorks to create parts, assemblies, drawings, and FEA simulations
• Participate in team meetings, and present quantitative and qualitative findings in an organized and professional manner
• Managing and maintaining Mechanical Engineering lab space
• The role is based out of our office in Deer Park, IL and requires on-site presence
• We are not able to provide relocation assistance

• Must be at least in your second year of school (ideally third or fourth year), working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering
• Demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks part creation, drawings, and large assemblies
• Knowledge of drafting and design standards (ANSI Y14.5 GD & T)
• Understanding of design for assembly and manufacturing (DFA and DFM principles)
• Knowledge of measurement systems and techniques
• Strong ability to communicate
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new information
• Ability to manage their time
• Positive attitude
• Enjoys hands on approach toward engineering

We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.

Compensation:
The base hourly range for this role is $25.50-$47.00. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
