The Logistics Project Manager is responsible for overall field operations and logistics. This position coordinates the work of the project with site operations and the work of other construction projects at a program level.

Own program logistics, including but not limited to, site access, laydown areas, material handling routes, traffic, and temporary facilities.

Work closely with the contractors' superintendents to identify and mitigate logistical challenges.

Extensive integration and communication with numerous vendors and trades in multiple disciplines.

Continuously monitors trades for contract scope performance and review team composition assuring optimum execution and manpower.

Forecasts all resource and contract needs, functions as logistics lead and primary site liaison/point of contact.

Coordinate with factory to idle security systems for tooling move in and move out.

Walk factory utility and Subfab levels to ensure adherence to space coordination plans and resolve issues.

Assisting suppliers, and vendors with logistics direction, documentation, and materials management (foreign & domestic).

Works with PM’s to remove and dispose of empty crates and abandoned material.

Coordinates needs for project waste disposal and recycling.

Space coordination with trades/vendors.

Ensure that all on-site activities are carried out in strict accordance with an Incident and Injury Free environment and that all applicable OSHA regulations are adhered.

Ensure safety protocol is followed including review of Pre-Task Plans prior to work start, all personnel wear required PPE, housekeeping rules are followed and mitigation of unsafe conditions.

 

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Good execution capability, communication and reporting skill.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics support

Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, Adobe PDF.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision; Distance vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including protective eye wear, hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection.
  • Must be able to safely access and traverse indoor and outdoor obstacles for site inspections, including climbing ladders, walking on stairs, catwalks, and other types of uneven surfaces where activity inspections are needed.
