This role is critical for ensuring continuity of business operations and driving future technology adoption, including automation and AI integration. This position will report directly to the CFO. 

Essential functions and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and support custom applications and integrations using Visual Basic, SQL, and SharePoint.  

  • Maintain and enhance legacy ERP system (Unidata, SBClient), to ensure continuity of manufacturing operations.  

  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to design and implement PowerApps solutions for workflow automation.  

  • Assist in programming and integration of automation equipment as needed.  

  • Participate in planning and execution of future technology initiatives, including AI-driven solutions and process automation.  

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues promptly to minimize downtime.  

  • Document code, processes, and system changes for internal knowledge reference.  

  • Provide technical support and training to internal users as necessary. 

  • Provide backup IT helpdesk duties, as needed. 

 



Required Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities: 

  • Proficiency in Visual Basic (VB6 or VB.NET).  

  • Strong understanding of SQL databases and ability to write complex queries.  

  • Familiarity with SharePoint development and PowerApps, Power Automate and Power FX. 

  • General awareness of multi-value databases (e.g., UniData, Pick) or willingness to learn.  

  • Ability to analyze business processes and translate them into technical solutions.  

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  

  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.  

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Experience: 5–10 years of programming experience, including Visual Basic and SQL.  

  • Solid understanding of SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, optimization). 

  • Familiarity with SharePoint for document management and workflow integration. 

  • General awareness of MultiValue databases (e.g., Pick, UniData, or similar). 

  • Excellent communication skills for cross-department collaboration. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment. 

 

 Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in manufacturing or ERP systems. 

  • Exposure to automation equipment programming and AI concepts is a plus.
