Your Qualifications

• Education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Sciences, Facility Management, or related field
• At least 3 years of professional experience in an industrial cleanroom or lab setting
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with external suppliers and contractors
• Experience with executing and maintaining RI&E procedures, including implementation of safety measures for both lab and general operational settings
• Strong hands-on problem-solving skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach
• Reliable, open, and transparent communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English

The Role

Black Semiconductor Netherlands is looking for a Facility & Safety Specialist (f/m/d) to manage and maintain our cleanroom and lab facility, while also overseeing safety across all operational areas. In this role, you will ensure that all critical facility systems—including ultra-pure water, vacuum pumps, compressors, and cleanroom filters—are operating reliably and efficiently. You’ll coordinate with external suppliers for complicated maintenance, while also performing basic in-house maintenance tasks. As the point of contact for contractors and vendors, you will support our engineering and production teams in a fast-paced, high-tech environment  Additionally, you will be responsible for health and safety on site, including leading the RI&E (Risk Inventory & Evaluation), identifying safety improvements, and maintaining all related systems. This is a hands-on, impactful role for someone with experience in cleanroom or lab facilities along with proactive mindset for operational excellence who values reliability, safety, and teamwork

To join our team, you should be excited to

• Independently operate and maintain facility systems (e.g., vacuum pumps, compressors, cleanroom filters, UPW systems)
• Perform and lead the RI&E (Risk Inventory & Evaluation) process and implement improvements across cleanroom and broader operational areas
• Perform regular maintenance on process tooling
• Coordinate and manage inventory and stock of facility related consumables and parts
• Be a part of BHV (emergency response) team
