Join Micron’s procurement team as the Director of Procurement Compliance and Risk. You will play a key role in ensuring a resilient, compliant, and sustainable supply chain. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead global initiatives that build the future of procurement governance and risk management. These initiatives also improve supply chain resilience and strengthen Micron’s status as a world-class procurement leader in the industry. You will lead all aspects of critical procurement programs, including Responsible Sourcing, Supply Risk Mitigation, Procurement Compliance, Supplier Compliance, Product Compliance, Business Information Security and US Expansion Project Procurement Compliance.  

Program Responsibilities: 

Responsible Sourcing 

  • Ensure supplier conformance to the Micron supplier code of conduct 

  • Ensure Micron manufacturing sites and contract manufacturers align with the standards provided by the Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct and coordinate the associated audit program 

  • Ownership of Micron’s Responsible Minerals program 

  • Drive supplier sustainability objectives in their operations and supply chains  

Procurement and Supplier Compliance 

  • Ensure adequate supplier due diligence for new suppliers 

  • Conduct compliance training 

  • Develop and implement appropriate procurement policies 

  • Monitoring and auditing of procurement controls and compliance 

  • Implementation of AI to detect high-risk transactions and potential fraud 

Supply Risk Management and Intelligence 

  • Monitor the supply base for any potential disruptions, facilitate response to supply chain events and lead the virtual war room. 

  • Partner with Global Category teams to ensure alignment, awareness and transparency of risk and associated mitigation actions. 

  • Link, improve, and analyze data on the supply chain to recognize both short-term and long-term threats to business resilience. 

Product Compliance 

  • Monitor regulations applicable to Micron products, maintain the register of those regulations, and ensure compliance. 

  • Ensure product content compliance and manage the material declaration process. 

  • Acquire certifications vital for Micron products to be sold into the intended countries. 

  • Conduct Life Cycle Assessments on Micron products 

US Expansion / CHIPs compliance 

  • Ensure US expansion projects meet all funding requirements, CHIPs requirements and all applicable procurement regulations. 

  • Ensure Davis Bacon compliance for applicable project 

Business Information Security 

  • Carryout information security protocols to safeguard information 

  • Manage data access governance 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Finance/Compliance, Engineering or a comparable professional background  

  • 10 years of successfully leading global cross functional teams.  

  • Outstanding leadership and team management skills. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law Degree, Engineering, or possessing equivalent professional experience  

  • Demonstrated expertise in leading compliance and risk organizations in the tech industry  

  • Experience with responsible sourcing programs. 

  • Experience in tech industry procurement processes and highly sophisticated transactions 

  • Understanding of CHIPs regulations and government procurement processes. 

  • Experience in leading sustainability programs. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic approach. 

  • Proven experience in AI applications in compliance or procurement processes.
