The Country People Lead is a senior strategic leadership role, evolved from the Regional Business Partner (RBP) model. This position leads the People functions at the country level and serves as the primary architect of people strategies that align with business imperatives. The role ensures global People strategies are thoughtfully localized to drive talent excellence, organizational agility, and an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Define and champion a forward-looking People vision aligned with executive leadership and global functional priorities.
  • Translate enterprise-wide People strategies into impactful, country-specific initiatives that accelerate business outcomes.
  • Advise senior leaders on talent strategies that enable transformation, innovation, and growth.
  • Leverage data and insights to anticipate workforce trends, assess organizational health, and guide strategic decisions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and cultural steward, reinforcing Micron’s values and leading change with integrity.

People Strategy Execution

  • Lead the country People team in delivering high-impact, business-aligned outcomes.
  • Prioritize and execute initiatives that elevate employee experience, leadership capability, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to tailor People programs to evolving business needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement in People operations, ensuring agility, scalability, and service excellence.

Organizational Effectiveness & Talent Enablement

  • Lead strategic workforce planning, including site transitions, acquisitions, and global footprint optimization.
  • Guide organizational design and change management to support business transformation.
  • Foster a culture of career clarity, growth, and accountability within the People team and across the organization.
  • Lead a redefined HRBP team with clear KPIs and measurable impact, matrix reporting to the Country People Lead.
  • Champion inclusive leadership and employee engagement through intentional programs and leadership influence.

Leadership Development & Capability Building

  • Coach and mentor People team members to build future-ready leadership capabilities.
  • Elevate the visibility and impact of functional leaders through recognition and development.
  • Influence senior stakeholders through strategic counsel, fostering alignment and trust.

Enterprise Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead communication of People strategies and organizational change across all levels with clarity and purpose.
  • Connect talent strategies to business performance, reinforcing the value of people in achieving results.
  • Facilitate effective communication between local & global functions for strategic alignment.

Global Integration & Local Impact

  • Represent the country in global HR forums, contributing local insights to shape enterprise-wide strategies.
  • Collaborate with Total Rewards to ensure competitive, locally relevant compensation and benefits programs.
  • Drive employer branding and talent attraction strategies in partnership with Talent Acquisition and Corporate Communications.
