Position Overview:
As an RF Systems Principal
Engineer, you will play a critical role in defining and delivering advanced RF
architectures support for next-generation wireless systems power amplifiers.
You will interface internally with product development, technology teams, and
product line managers, and externally with key customers and suppliers. This
position requires deep technical expertise in RF system design, power amplifier
architectures, and digital predistortion (DPD), as well as leadership in
driving innovation and influencing product roadmaps.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership in defining RF system
specifications, PA architectures, and product roadmaps.
- Perform system-level evaluation of existing and
emerging technologies for LTE/5G/6G communications systems.
- Lead development and optimization of power amplifiers
using efficiency enhancement techniques (e.g., Digital Doherty, LMBA, Gate
Bias Modulation, Envelope Tracking).
- Apply advanced modeling techniques (MATLAB, C/C++) to
analyze RF impairments and optimize system performance, including
behavioral model of GaN PAs.
- Drive relationships with key customers and suppliers
to align RF system requirements and DPD methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including
product design, technology development, and application.
- Develop automated test and characterization flows for
RF power amplifiers and subsystems.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively through
reports, presentations, and customer interactions
Key Competencies & Skills
Required:
Expertise in RF power amplifier design, modeling, and
linearization (DPD).
- Strong knowledge of RF design tools such as ADS and
AWR.
- Proficiency in system modeling using MATLAB and/or
C/C++.
- Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (spectrum
analyzers, signal generators, power meters) and third-party DPD systems.
- Familiarity with LTE/3GPP/5G standards; knowledge of
emerging 6G trends is a plus.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration
skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor
engineers.
- Proven track record of innovation (patents, IEEE
publications) in PA architectures and DPD algorithms.
- Familiarity with GaN PA characterization and advanced
memory effect compensation techniques.
Required Qualifications and
Experience:
- MSEE or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in RF systems Engineering
