Introduction to the job

Within ASML the Customer Support (CS) group is responsible for the maintenance, repair and upgrades of ASML systems at customer locations. One of the departments in this group is CS Environment, Health and Safety (EHS). This department supports ASML CS to ensure safe and healthy working conditions at the worldwide CS locations and for all the operations at customer sites.

To strengthen our team we are looking for a CS Safety Specialist to further improve safety of Customer Support.

Job Mission

The CS EHS department supports the safety of the CS engineers in the field. We do this by making sure the design of the platforms is safe, the tools that are being used are safe and by making sure safety is well embedded in the procedures the engineers use. Next to this, we make sure the engineers have performed all the necessary safety training and that this safety training is of good quality. Last but not least, we increase the safety behavior of the engineers. This also applies for the contractors who are working on behalf of CS in the field.

As Safety Specialist you are responsible for managing the safety competence you are assigned to. The competence of this vacancy is Contractor Safety. For all the elements mentioned above, you are responsible for the correct implementation with respect to Contractor Safety.

For this you interact with the CS Global Training Center, the regional CS EHS Teams and our contractors. Improvements are within the CS sector, but often need to be aligned globally and cross-sectoral.

Job description

As Safety Specialist Contractor management you will:

  • Identify and prioritize improvements needed for Contractor Safety Management with in-depth analysis of the performance of CS.

  • Perform process optimization of the Contractor Safety process and implement process optimization.

  • Be the competence owner for Contractor Safety. Which means you are 'the one to go to' for questions by CS and contractors and you maintain the CS EHS Contractor EHS Program.

Education and experience

  • Minimally Bachelor (HBO) degree in an Engineering, Safety or level with 5 years of relevant working experience

  • Preferably Degree in Occupational Safety (HVK/Bsc/NEBOSH) or comparable

  • Proven industrial experience in multi-disciplinary safety projects

  • Is familiar with and has knowledge of Environment, Health and Safety

  • Understanding the role of safety within an organization

  • Project management skills is a pre
