ADI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Director to join our team This person will strategically drive software innovation and growth by leading a robust team of 120+ technical developers, blending hands-on technical leadership with effective project management to inspire, mentor, and advance a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Champion cross-functional collaboration, prioritize professional development across all levels of expertise, and leverage deep industry knowledge to foster a forward-thinking environment that not only meets but exceeds the evolving demands of the semiconductor software industry."
Responsibilities include;
- Lead and manage a team of 120+ technical developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality work and professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
- Prioritize and plan team projects and work with the team, architects and other stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are clear and understood by the team.
- Promote adherence to coding standards, best practices, and ADI quality practices.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks and obstacles, proactively finding solutions and ensuring project timelines and deliverables are met.
- Act as a liaison between the technical team and senior management, effectively communicating project updates, risks, and accomplishments.
- Collaborate with HR in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new team members, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and resources to meet project demands.
- To be successful you need to be flexible and entrepreneurial, comfortable operating with ambiguity and willing to develop quick proof of concepts. You are a true owner - you are passionate about the potential customer and societal impact and will operate at all levels, diving deep into the details while providing strategic inputs for the product.
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 6 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 4+ years of experience.
- 3-5 years managing and developing employees.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and meeting project objectives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends
- Embedded systems knowledge
- Experience working in semiconductor software industries such as industrial, automotive, and consumer.
