Introduction to the job

Do you have the passion & experience to drive the Supplier Operations (SO) department to new levels of Operational Excellence? Do you have the persistence to structure our complex supply chain processes and achieve this vision? Do you have the communication skills to be and drive the change in existing processes and people across departments?

To realize our vision, we need to set ourselves up for success to navigate the volume ramp, while managing the growing installed base & supply chain complexity in a smarter way. On top of our drive to eliminate, standardize, centralize and automate, we want to drive structural step changes that will help us turn-the-tables with our internal / external stakeholders and create time for our people to be more proactive and preventive.

Our Operational Excellence team is dedicated team with the sole mission to enable Supplier Operations to make a more powerful impact in their roles and within our supply chain. This team is tasked to drive mission critical initiatives to support our ambitions in a structured way.  

As part of the Operational Excellence team, you will be the catalyst to drive these Operational Excellence objectives within our department. He/she will identify the required changes that need to be made to certain processes, tools, activities and/or roles to make our department more robust and futureproof. He/she will also drive the change to make it stick in our DNA.

Role and responsibilities

  • You will manage initiatives to simplify and improve our ways of working using your Subject Matter Expertise

  • You will map and structure As-Is/To-Be processes with (senior) stakeholders to define a plan that you will drive to completion.

  • You will manage and report out progress diligently and frequently

  • You will work in team and closely with internal customers to understand, identify, quantify and prioritize activities/initiatives

  • You will develop and/or adopt ways to measure the impact of your improvement plan

  • You will generate process gaps, solutions and alignment needs using interviews, workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, business analysis, task and workflow analysis

  • You will develop project and deployment plans for improvements on your roadmap to make them stick within the department

  • You will participate in cross-department project work streams / programs

  • You will support the documentation/update of processes and activities in standards

  • You will establish working relationships with internal stakeholders, technology, subject matter experts, and any other relevant parties

Education and experience

  • Bachelor/MSc degree or equivalent

  • 5-10 years relevant experience in Project Management and Sourcing, Procurement & Supply Management

  • Proven project management skills (incl. lean methods), planning and organizational skills with an ability to outline initiatives and develop priorities

  • Lean Belt Certification is preferred

  • Proven financial and business acumen (P&L, balance sheets, CAPEX)

  • Proven experience in analyzing, developing, improving and implementing business processes

  • Superior data analysis and problem-solving skills (incl. data crunching / process analysis)

  • Proven experience managing and communicating to internal stakeholders

Skills

  • Ambitious and persistent can-do mentality with ability to coordinate activities without supervision

  • Exceptional analytical skills with ability to understand the details and the bigger picture

  • Team player with a strong personality that is both flexible on some occasions and firm on others (tactful and persuasive)

  • Out of the box thinking and change management skills are preferred

  • Excellent professional communication in English (and Dutch is an advantage).

  • Ability to listen well and gain credibility with others

  • Connects dots very easily
