Job Description

Overview

The Sustainability Project Engineer is responsible for managing sustainability projects primarily under the production and product pillar, covering elements such as energy, emissions, water, waste, recycle product management, and scope 3 activities management. The Project Engineer will work with various stakeholders to ensure that the organization meets its sustainability goals and complies with relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sustainability projects that align with the organization's vision, mission, and values
  • Conduct sustainability assessments and audits to identify and measure the environmental and social performance of the organization
  • Implement, manage and monitor sustainability initiatives and programs, such as waste reduction, energy efficiency, carbon footprint, green procurement, social responsibility, and stakeholder engagement
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the sustainability initiatives and programs, and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement
  • Research and analyze the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in sustainability, and propose new ideas and solutions to enhance the organization's sustainability performance
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and collaborate with them to promote and support sustainability initiatives and programs
  • Educate and train employees and other stakeholders on sustainability issues and practices, and foster a culture of sustainability within the organization

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required (in relevant areas such as Engineering or allied discipline),
  • 5 years working experience in a related field of expertise
  • Relevant degree /certification in environmental sciences/safety/sustainability
  • Experienced in EHS management and ISO programs
