The Process Technician (PT) is the first point of contact on our production lines. The MPT expected to exercise technical, analytical judgement to support our highly automated manufacturing process. They are a critical contributor in providing efficient and continuous improvement on the production floor.
The PT is responsible foroperating and maintaining highly automated and advanced manufacturing equipment necessary to produce the Membrane product line. The individual is trained to both operate and analyze processes, as well as train others to do the same. The position requires, technical ability, machine troubleshooting, teamwork and problem-solving skills, and the willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Perform equipment setup, operation, shutdown,and other associated process steps to meet all standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
Analyze/Run process and test data and correctly determine necessary actions to achieve desired quality, yield, and efficiency.
Utilize and understand human machine interfaces (HMIs), Scada system and Statistical process controls (SPC) to identify and correct shifts within the process.
Ensures adequate raw material is prepared correctly and membrane batches are completed in a timely manner to ensure on-time delivery.
Troubleshoot and identify potential solutions for mechanical errors, safety issues or general operating inefficiencies within the production processes.
Able to utilize computer systems to support in the material inventory movement, process transactions and quality management processes.
Participates in manufacturing continuous improvement activities including support of new product design, process development, equipment validations, and process validations.
Works from specifications, work orders, and SOP’s provided by Process Engineer, Development Engineer and Production Supervisor.
Safely follow standard operating procedures including but not limited to material handling, record keeping, process spec and ensuring all team members are adhering to proper PPE.
Notifies Process Engineer and / or Production Supervisor of any discrepancies to ensure quality standards and safety of operations are always maintained.
Excellent attention to detail, good organization, communication skills and capable of leading and directing other team members.
Able to work in team environment and cross functional teams to troubleshoot issues, identify and implement corrective actions.
Work with R&D to help develop and analyze data to develop new membrane products and improve current membrane.
Create and Update Standard Operating Procedures.

Maintain a clean work environment following all our 6S activities.
Understand and promotes Lean Manufacturing Concepts.
Train and certify other manufacturing operators in process operations utilizing all SOP’s.
Performs other duties as required
High School Diploma or equivalent; additional college or technical coursework; 2 years progressive experience.
Extrusion experience.
Self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
Must be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, communicate, and write.
Ideal candidate will have keen eye for quality, is dependable, and will work collaboratively within a team, and possess a positive attitude.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Mathematics – Knowledge of basic arithmetic, algebra and/or geometry.
Problem Solving – Recognizes problems and understands root cause analysis techniques/concepts.
