Maintenance engineer

Your working environment

In our high-tech small production runs, single part and prototype production, you will support us in the high-precision manufacture of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics.
 

Your tasks

• Diagnosis of machine malfunction and downtimes within an area of responsibility/ expertise
• Coordination of planned and unplanned assignments of external service providers, both internally with the specialist departments and externally with the service providers
• Internal/external acceptance of the performed maintenance measures
• Expert contact person for technical questions in a specific machine park
• Technical research, request for quotation and ordering of spare parts as well as assignments from external suppliers/ service providers
• Elaboration of new maintenance and servicing plans in cooperation with the technical departments and the machine suppliers
• Decision on awarding contracts to internal or external service providers according to technical, financial and personnel criteria in consultation with the supervisor
• Close communication between process engineering, group management and external service providers for troubleshooting
• Determination and digitization of machine data as well as maintenance instructions
• Support with the procurement of established machinery
• Implementing improvements for process/ plant optimization
• Procurement of spare parts
• Training in Maintenance Production

Additional tasks of a qualified electrician

• Troubleshooting electronic components
• Measuring and analyzing electrical components and systems

Your qualifications

• Completed degree in the field of mechanical engineering, mechatronics or electrical engineering, alternatively, successfully completed advanced education/ training to become a state-certified electrical technician
• Several years of professional experience in maintaining high-tech machinery
• Good command of English

• Practice-oriented with a strong technical understanding
