The Group You’ll Be A Part Of

Working in the Metrology and Defect Analysis team within the Cleans Products' Lab Operations organization, you will have as main responsibility the management of the metrology equipment, development of metrology recipes and analytical techniques, data generation and analysis for customer demos and product development.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop inspection techniques and metrology recipes supporting the data generation and analysis for the customer demo support.
  • Independently design and conduct experiments, developing tailored analytical methodologies, supporting product development’s engineering testing.
  • Plan, carry and oversee complex metrology related projects, documenting results and lessons learned in BKM.
  • Analyze the metrology equipment’s performances and partner with the suppliers on problem solving and CIP.
  • Schedule and organize the needed preventive maintenances and calibrations.
  • Support the development of the site’s metrology roadmap, identifying current gaps through the cooperation with the engineering teams, align on the future technical requirements, and setup the implementation strategies.
  • Engage with analytical laboratories and wafers suppliers to extend the available engineering testing offer.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics or related field with 6+ years of experience; or a PhD with 3+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the field of optical measurements and/or chemical surface analysis.
  • Knowledge of statistics, design of experiments and problem solving.
  • Very good English oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with working in a laboratory and on semiconductor equipment with experience in surface preparation.
  • Proficient in MATLAB, Python, or other similar scientific computing language.
  • Familiar with quality management and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 27001).
  • Experience working in a collaborative and matrixed environment with diverse teams, semiconductor customers, and/or partners

 

Employment in Austria

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group G.  A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
