Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.?  Vishay Barry is currently seeking applicants for a Quality Supervisor. The Quality Supervisor is responsible for supervising, implementing and maintaining technical quality assurance and control systems and activities under division management guidance.

Job Location:

Vishay Barry is located in Attleboro, MA that is conveniently located near the main highways as well as some highly recommended restaurants. There are approximately 70 employees across two shifts working at our 40,000 sq. ft. facility of manufacturing space. This would be an on-site position.

What you will be doing:

  • Supervise a team of 3 quality inspectors.
  • Identify causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Development and refinement of workmanship standards.
  • Coordinate Quality activities throughout the supply chain.
  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
  • Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Makes recommendations for new procedures.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  • Evaluate problems and make recommendations.

What you will bring along:

  • Associate degree in Electronics and/or 3+ years related manufacturing experience.
  • Previous Supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated leadership, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of International Standard ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems preferred.
  • Use computerized data collection equipment and software to record inspection data and generate process capability and other SQC charts.
  • Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators and force gages.
  • Knowledge of Keyence inspection machine preferred.
  • Evaluate and complete special customer quality assurance requirements (i.e., first article inspection, SPC charts, and data and other customer paperwork).
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, and must understand the x, y, z coordinate system.
  • General proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word preferred.
