Introduction to the job

We are seeking a seasoned EHS Expertise Manager for our factories worldwide in our global department.

The EHS Expertise manager works in EHS team of D&E, Supply chain, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Corporate Real Estate or Corporate EHS.

Interfaces with EHS manager and with managers/ directors/ VPs of own sector.
Acts as EHS Business Partner for a large, major cluster/function or independent business area with high exposure.
Is recognized as strategic partner to business.
Formulates, leads and implements guidelines and procedures for the EHS function and contributes to fomulation of the strategy.
Work is governed by broad practices and procedures and the job holder has large autonomy how to achieve the agreed goals. Oversees and aligns consequences of decisions with adjacent work areas.
As addition, an EHS Expertise Manager 2 working at Corporate EHS interfaces with managers/ directors/ VPs of other sectors (both within and outside the EHS workfield) and with the Board of Management of ASML when relevant and applicable.

Requirements

Requires professional/concptual knowledge (relevant Master's degree) with deep and extensive working experience in EHS in tecnical industry, consultancy or national government. Has solid experience across different EHS work areas.
Proven track record on managing EHS expertise in a dynamic business environment on strategic level.
-Customer focus (internal or external).
-Proven track record on stakeholder management (director/ VP level).
-Collaborates in a positive and efficient manner.
-Communicates effectively to stakeholders; stays friendly at all times; provides constructive feedback and listens carefully to any feedback given.
-Drives results to ensure EHS improvements for ASML.
-Manages complexity within and beyond EHS workfield.
-Optimises work processes on EHS at own sector or on corporate level.
Balances stakeholders to ensure the best decisions are taken for EHS at ASML.
Ensures accountability for EHS. Informs senior management/ VP on accountability for EHS.

Responsibilities

Key EHS processes (e.g. Incident Management, Compliance Management, JSA/Risk Management, Inspections/ Audits, Sustainability Reporting)

Manages existing EHS processes for ASML. Leads project teams to improve worldwide EHS processes.

Technical competence areas (e.g. Laser Safety, Electrical Safety, Radiation, Hazardous Materials, Ergonomics, Waste, Energy, CO2 emissions, Life Cycle Assessments)

Manages multiple EHS technical competence areas within ASML.
Develops and provides training framework for technical competences.
Uses a strong internal and external network on multiple technical competence areas to ensure ASMLs EHS knowledge now and in the future.

EHS data analysis & improvements

Develops and leads EHS improvement roadmap for assigned competences for ASML, based on trend analyses of data, in line with ASMLs EHS strategy.

Enhance EHS culture & communication

Leads cross-sectoral EHS culture program.
Responsible for high-level internal and external EHS communication, e.g. annual report.
