Introduction to the job

The Global Reuse Center (GRC) is responsible for the re-use of parts, tools & module in order to accelerate learning, reduce costs and eliminate waste. The GRC builds the competencies and knowledge on reconditioning processes, executes reconditioning activities according to plan, learns from the reconditioned parts and enables the feedback loop to new designs.


Linkou Factory Global Reuse Center (GRC) is the first ASML reuse center in Taiwan, and will corporate with worldwide Reuse center (Netherlands / Korea / US / Tainan) to realize the concept of “circular economy & sustainability goals" of ASML products.

Role and responsibilities

In this position, you will lead investigations on re-use potential on parts, tools and module. You will specify requirements for manufacturing and represent manufacturing in X sector team. You're the first contact point for issues during execution of re-use activities and support and facilitate the execution team with the right knowledge and skills.

In this position, you will represent your competency on 4 main activities:
1. Parts reuse opportunity assessment
2. Execution process generation
3. Accelerate learning in parts design, quality improvement and reuse process
4. Lead & support bottom up reuse initiatives

Within these 4 main activities you will have the following tasks

  • Discover and investigate the parts re-use opportunities from various influx channels
  • Be proactive in identifying re-use potential and drive to realization when possible
  • As a contact point for each production line and support their reuse activity with right knowledge and skills
  • Cooperate with other ASML colleagues around the world to implement reuse projects or requests
  • Generate a verification process and design a testrig to verify the performance of reuse parts
  • Drives the solution of a technical issue blocking the production progress and improves related documentation/ process descriptions/ manuals 
  • Share the experience and knowledge that you learn from reuse process with reuse team to accelerate learning or improve the design
  • Verify engineering changes (end of life, upgrade, etc...)  that affect production to ensure product cycle time and quality

Education and experience

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical, complimented with 3+ years of relevant work experience

Professional Skills:

  • Programming skill: Python, C/C++
  • Controller / Embedded Processor knowledge: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Firmware
  • Circuit design experience and knowledge (layout SW, e.g., OrCAD, KiCAD)
  • Electronic knowledge
  • Manufacture experience of prototype module/testrig, e.g., PCB soldering, prototype test platform establish experience (preferred)
