Accountability

As Account Leader within the ASML Sourcing & Procurement Organisation  you will take full accountability for the suppliers Quality, Logistics, Technology, Cost, Sustainability performance and for realization of commercial goals with these two critical suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead relationships with the supplier account, develop the supplier account across its lifecycle
  • Act as first point of contact for the supplier and ASML internally (program and operational sectors), orchestrate an aligned voice towards suppliers, and manage the stakeholder network
  • Manage spend at supplier, execute Cost of Goods target setting of Business Lines and create Cost of Goods roadmaps, involve supplier in early stages of New Product Introduction (NPI) and close NPI contracts.
  • Chair Supplier Account Teams (SAT), lead supplier strategy formulation and give input to category strategy.
  • Prepare & perform commercial contract negotiations and deal making
  • Request support of Centre of Excellence (CoE); involve the right people where necessary and ensure the required handshakes are in place
  • Track and formalize (long-term) supplier performance
  • Manage commercial agreements for re-use and repair
  • Resolution of any escalations related to supplier issues and/or non-performance

Skills

  • Able to build and maintain trusting relationships
  • Prioritization skills, separating core and side topics, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Judge when support is necessary, and how to involve the right people
  • Negotiation skills and ability to shape mutual beneficial commercial collaborations
  • Management maturity; able to function well in virtual team and with CoE’s
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to get buy-in and commitment from both internal and external stakeholders

Education and experience

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or economics; preferably more than 10 years' experience in Sourcing or Sales of technical products (commercial roles and technical knowledge).

  • Preferably more than 10 years' experience in Sourcing/Procurement or Sales (commercial roles).
  • Strong commercial background (strategy/positioning and tactics, negotiation, deal making).
  • Experience with technical products and New Product Introductions (NPI) in big/complex organizations.
  • Technical background in mechanics (design and/or manufacturing).
