The Corporate Real Estate organization (CRE) is accountable to develop and implement an integrated Real Estate strategy (includes Facility Management and Asset Management) that enables ASML's business strategy. ASML’s CRE strategy and programs are to reflect the following broad objectives: enable the short and long term Industrial Strategy; meet ASML’s workplace requirements; ensure business continuity while minimizing risks; total costs of ownership and providing the appropriate level of flexibility (portfolio management, maintenance/service standards, production scalability, etc.).
 
For the further development of the Berlin location and the significant growth targets associated with it, the regional CRE organization strives to maintain a consistent set of physical asset through its complete lifecycle to support the production process of ASML in an optimal manner.

Your tasks

We are looking for a highly motivated team member to join our CRE EHS team in a newly created role to help us actively support the transformation that has begun in a dynamic and complex environment. All measures are aimed at improving the transparency and safety culture, raising safety awareness as well as tracking and documenting all support and advisory activities at the site. This will take us to the next level of compliance, safety and sustainability to protect our business and prepare for the future.
 
In this exciting role, you will focus on the procedural and strategic aspects of safety and work closely with our CRE team member for strategic occupational safety. Furthermore, you will be in close contact with CRE EHS at our head office in the Netherlands and the global CRE EHS organization. In doing so, you will bring the local perspective to the fore. In your role, you will represent the interests of CRE EHS in the other EHS areas such as production and will cooperate closely with the EHS colleagues at the Berlin location.

EHS Processes
  • You ensure EHS within the CRE organization to maintain and improve a safe working environment
  • You implement and design processes of the global CRE EHS standards (L4/L5) within the Berlin organization and develop them
  • You strengthen and further develop accident and emergency management as well as technical fire protection
  • You improve the permit-to-work process for CRE service providers together with the necessary stakeholders
  • You work closely with and support the operational EHS teams
  • You support the implementation and use of hardware and software tools to ensure EHS processes
  • You develop and support safety training for CRE colleagues, contractors and external employees
  • You participate in safety studies
  • You monitor continual improvement processes in relation to CRE EHS 
 
Compliance and Data
  • You introduce EHS systems, maintain them and continually improve their effectiveness using relevant KPIs and data
  • You prepare reports of the CRE-EHS division for the relevant stakeholders
  • You work on compliance with internal and external laws, rules and standards
  • You keep track of the relevant tools and processes and maintain them
  • You support the CRE team with their compliance status

Your qualifications

  • You have successfully completed a degree in occupational health & safety and environmental protection and have at least two years of relevant work experience; alternatively, you have an equivalent qualification and at least five years of relevant work experience
  • You have relevant safety-related experience in the construction, renovation and refurbishment of industrial plants or equivalent trades
  • You have experience in successfully managing and leading external service providers and various stakeholders
  • You have holistic knowledge of sustainability, environmental protection, safety, health protection and energy management
  • You ideally have knowledge of ISO 50001 & 9001
  • You are fluent in spoken and written business German and English
