The mission of a Knowledge Management Developer is to create and deliver high quality product documentation for the installation and service of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This involves publishing and administrative tasks. As a Knowledge Management Developer, you will:

Conceptualize, plan, develop, and write documentation sets, including concept, reference, and task-oriented information following the DITA specification.​

  • Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit operational procedures and manuals

  • Author documentation utilizing Technical Publications’ style guides and XML authoring tools

  • Work with program/project teams to develop various engineering specifications, field procedures, and software and hardware user documentation

  • Produce electronic documentation

  • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content

  • Process field feedback and implement changes in existing documentation

  • Conduct technical reviews and validate technical documentation

  • Write technical documentation with consideration for ESL

  • Edit technical documentation using simplified English

  • Capture and submit illustrations for use in documentation

  • Work with engineers in lab and test environments, interview technical staff, collect source material, and conduct procedure validation with cross-functional technical experts for use in the field Participate in technical documentation development and project meetings

  • Understand the process of publishing from DITA CCMS into the Field Portal

  • Investigate and resolve problems when DITA content fails to publish correctly

  • Investigate and resolve content that does not appear as expected in the Field Portal

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical writing or engineering, or equivalent work experience with some technical training.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience is required.

  • Strong competence with the various tools, procedures, programming languages used to accomplish the job.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge of an XML editor – XmetaL,Oxygen, Arbortext

  • Working knowledge of component content management systems (CCMS

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of RWS Tridion Docs

  • Experience with documentation data collection, processing source documentation

  • Ability to read and interpret graphs, schematics and other technical drawings

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator

Other information

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

  • Routinely required to sit, walk, talk, hear, use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

  • U.S. flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in conductive roles. Mutually-beneficial alternative work arrangement must be approved by manager – hybrid working model.
