Job Summary:

Synopsys is looking for a Financial Analyst (Staff level) to join our Corporate FP&A team based in the U.S.
The Corporate FP&A team offers a unique opportunity to help guide the company’s financial future. You will develop an extensive knowledge of Synopsys’ overall business and will work with large-scale data to develop deep insights that shape the thinking of senior leaders and our cross-functional partners. You will gain exposure to various business units' business operations in Synopsys, Financial statement analysis, M&A activities, Competitive & peer analysis, and Strategic business partnerships. This role will have the opportunity to create an impact within Corp FP&A, BU Finance, and beyond.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • You are a financial analyst with strong analytical and modeling skills. You thrive on data, are detail-oriented, and can deliver across multiple projects in parallel.
  • You will create monthly and quarterly expense forecast decks and present them to senior management explaining the drivers of expense variance across different business units and functions.
  • You will develop and maintain complex models for monthly and quarter close reporting like quarterly earning presentation, QBR, Competitive analysis, Expense tracking by business unit, and other deliverables for senior management. This will include quantitative insights, combined with, skillful presentation and storytelling to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • You will support the development of strategic plans, annual financial budgets, and monthly forecasts with data-driven insights and analyzing key metrics.
  • Support ad-hoc modeling and analysis to deliver insights and aid executive decision-making.
  • You will drive efficiency by streamlining and automating processes and reporting activities.
  • You will collaborate with the team on data analytics and visualization including developing dashboards/models on Anaplan/ Tableau/SAC Analytics

  • Advanced Proficiency in the MS Office, in-specific Excel and PowerPoint, SAP
  • Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating a “yes, if” mindset. Intellectual curiosity with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Have strong initiative and flexibility and must be multi-task oriented.
  • Comfortable working in an environment with changing priorities and dynamic multi-level organizational structure
  • You are an ambitious team player who feels accountable for full team delivery and contributes to a great team spirit.

Experience & Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required. (US CPA is highly preferred)
  • 7-8 years of related finance experience with a keen understanding of core FP&A processes
  • Familiarity with GAAP accounting is a plus
  • Experience building financial models and related analyses with Excel is a must. Proficiency in SAC Anaplan or similar cloud-based planning/reporting tools preferred.
  • Prior experience in a high-tech/software organization is a plus.
  • This role is open to US Remote candidates.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $91,000-$137,000 In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Synopsys offers comprehensive health, wellness, and financial benefits as part of a competitive total rewards package. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
