Manufacturing IT - Site IT Director
The NXP Manufacturing (MFG) IT organization is looking to hire a Site IT Director for supporting IT activities at our Austin 200mm semiconductor wafer fab facility (called ATMC). The MFG IT organization is responsible for the design, development, deployment and support of all required software applications and services to run the factories at NXP. MFG IT is enabling continuous improvement for Manufacturing Operations by providing robust manufacturing execution systems, sophisticated shop floor scheduling and dispatching systems, advanced equipment integration, best-in-class advanced process control, and real-time operational intelligence systems. The ATMC fab is part of a larger Front-End Operations (FEO) organization that strives for harmonization and seeks benefits from both local optimization and cross fab alignment.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS
- IT Strategy and governance
- Formulates and implements IT support strategy for the AMEC region aligned with factory, business, and IT goals and roadmaps. Drives collaboration between IT domains, third party vendors (like AMAT and TCS), and Manufacturing IT Nijmegen counterparts.Engages with local Manufacturing management and staff to support their Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People goals.
- IT Policies and standards
- Develops and deploys site IT policies and standards in line with corporate policies and ensuring the IT team in AMEC stays compliant to those policies.
- IT Cost
- Develops, deploys, and controls the Manufacturing IT budget for AMEC.Responsible for driving cost of operations down.Responsible for developing and presenting strong business cases when requesting additional budget.
- IT Infrastructure and demand management
- Maintain a Manufacturing IT infrastructure that meets corporate IT directives, customer requirements, is cost effective, and ensures business continuity.Maintains accurate CMDB, BIA, DRP records to help identify and reduce risk to the organization.
- IT Solutions
- Ensures that all manufacturing applications are maintainable, sustainable, and scalable while the overall system architecture is streamlined and drives towards a lower cost of ownership.Promotes HA and BCM principles.
- IT Operations
- Ensures that the right level of service is provided for applications that are supported by Manufacturing IT, including 24x7 support.Ensures changes by any IT organization does not negatively impact factory and/or business operations.
- Actively participates in the factory management team and has a functional reporting line to the factory GM.
- IT Cybersecurity
- Stays informed about and helps implement latest corporate security directives and acts urgently on all security breaches.Supports tabletop exercises and red button testing.
- Human Resource Management
- Creates and maintains an effective Manufacturing IT organization with the right competencies to face current and future challenges.Drives a culture of Innovation, Expertise, Collaboration, Ownership, and Growth.Seeks a balance between internal rotation, internal promotion, and external hires (both NCG and Experienced)

QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field
- Experience in IT Management and/or Operations Management
- Motivated team leader with excellent planning, organization, problem solving, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to present information in a concise way, provide project updates, and interact with various target audiences like IT VPs and Factory GMs
- Ability to set own priorities, strong attention to detail, and timely follow through, strong interpersonal skills, and proven leadership skills
- Familiar with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Life Cycle Management (LCM), and SAFe Agile methodologies
- Passion for Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and Continuous Testing (CT) methodologies
