NXP Global Hardware Enablement (GHWE) Europe Region Manager
Being a one-stop key provider of test hardware in NXP, Global Hardware Enablement (GHWE) provides turnkey, first-time right, and cost-optimized test hardware solutions for wafer test and final test across all NXP business lines and all Assembly Test locations. Our services include test hardware schematic and layout design, simulation, PCB fabrication, ATE standard solutions – socket, contactor, handler kits, docking, etc development, and delivery.
Global Hardware Enablement Europe Region manager is responsible for leading and managing GHWE Europe team to develop automated test equipment (ATE) test hardware for new product/technology introduction (NPI/NTI). Team members are located in Nijmegen, Hamburg, and Bucharest.
Responsibility:
- Lead the cross-functional team consisting of electrical and mechanical engineering to develop ATE test hardware to meet NTI/NPI and mass production test requirements.
- Be responsible for meeting project objectives (First Time Right and On Time Delivery) that involve hardware developing plans, executing the project to completion, and accomplishing hardware deliverables.
- Responsible for partnership management with internal various functional teams including Business Line Engineering, Operations, Assembly & Test factories, Procurement, Program Management, etc.
- Lead the team to execute the goal setting in global team and monitor the progress and be responsible for team performance.
- Define resource development plan including short-term and long-term strategies to meet business requirements. Manage consultants and flexible resources from 3rd party.
- Support PMO (Program Management Office) to assign engineering resources for all Europe region projects and collaborate with other regions for global collaboration.
- Collaborate with business line partners to acquire the project annual operation plan then define the resources assignment plan and strategy.
- Lead team to work on NTI (New Technology Introduction) project execution and any new technology challenges to find the resolutions.
- Drive the development process optimization from requirements to mass production.
- Address supplier issues including delivery, quality, and costs through regular communication and escalation if needed by collaborating with peer groups.
- Define cost reduction strategy from various areas – internalization design, innovative solutions, cost strategy with suppliers, etc.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Masters or PhD preferred
- 5+ years of proven experience as a team manager or lead role in the semiconductor research and development industry
- Cross-functional teamwork experience is a must. The working experience with Operations or Assembly and Test sites is a plus
- Ability to assemble and lead a multinational project team. Adapt to cross-time zone work model
- Ability to lead a highly motivated high-performance engineering team
- Knowledge of testing hardware (Final Test and Wafer Test) or testing program development process is required
- Proven experience leading New Product or New Technology Introduction programs
- Capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet target dates
- Strong systems thinking and process-oriented mindset to address issues
- Working experience with suppliers is required. ATE hardware suppliers (PCB, Probe, socket, etc) management experience is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good oral and written English skills

Contract: This is a full-time position with a permanent contract. However, we are open to discuss a part-time opportunity (between 32 and 38 hours) as well.
