Cirrus Logic are looking for talented Senior/Staff Analog IC Design Engineers to help drive the next generation of technologies and products, to serve new and exciting opportunities in Mixed Signal IC design for consumer electronics. We have roles for those with a passion for detailed transistor level design and also roles for those more interested in project and sub-system leadership.  As part of a highly collaborative team, you will be responsible for the development of low-power, high-performance IC’s in advanced CMOS processes, specified to drive transformational change in new applications and markets.

Responsibilities

    • Ownership and development of advanced solutions for complex mixed-signal products and respective circuitry from concept, architecture, design, design integration through to production with an awareness of competing solutions and commercial pressures.
    • Modeling of solutions using tools such as Matlab, Simulink, Spectre, AMS Designer etc.
    • Transistor level implementation of the design
    • Overseeing layout implementation and performing post layout simulations and optimization
    • Hands on lab checkout, silicon learning, and debug
    • Supporting post-silicon activities including product validation, characterization, and production test

Required Skills and Qualifications

    • BSc, MSc, Meng or PhD in Electrical Engineering (or related fields) with proven and relevant professional experience in mixed signal CMOS circuit design
    • Deep understanding of analog design flows including architecture, design, and design integration
    • Strong skills in CMOS analog design and layout of high precision, low power circuits
    • Hands-on lab test/debug experience with a range of lab equipment
    • Organised and detailed with strong communication skills
    • Possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Results-oriented and thrive in a dynamic environment
    • Able to operate effectively in a high functioning interdependent team

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

    • Knowledge of discrete-time and continuous-time signal processing (ADC and DAC design)
    • Experience of designing low-power/high-performance analog circuits (voltage/current references, oscillators, PLLs, FLLs etc.)
    • Experience in system and behavioral modelling
    • Experience designing for different CMOS processes and aggressive geometry nodes.
    • Understanding of reliability concerns
    • An understanding, appreciation, and passion for audio and/or power management engineering 
    • Understanding of scripting languages such Tcl, Perl, Python etc.
This role is available in our Edinburgh or Newbury offices in the United Kingdom.

This is a hybrid position and will follow a 2+ day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs and team preference. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment with Cirrus Logic.
