Job Summary:
Searching for experienced semiconductor Principal Automotive NPI Product Engineer with direct experience, and track record, of bringing automotive products through the NPI development process from definition to production release, including all quality, functional safety and qualification related analysis and documentation
Responsibilities:
Driving and owning overall quality and compliance to requirements specification of a product through its lifecycle, from definition to production release
Contribute to the development of automotive product and functional safety processes and workflows and provide input to automotive QMS documentation
Work with functional teams to deliver functional safety related assessments and analysis such as ASIL, fault tree, PPAP, DFMEA, TFMEA & FMEDA and associated documentation
Own understanding of how the material fabrication process issues and variation correlate to both reliability (defects, FIT rate, etc.) and the distribution and sensitivity of individual performance parameters
Drive and execute on all NPI related activities for manufacturability such as DFT, yield, COP, test coverage, limit setting, guard banding, and test releases both near and far-shore
Enable decisions on the development or sourcing of technologies required for new products such as fab process, packaging, burn-in solutions
Working with test engineering to bring up product and test solutions, both onshore and at OSAT
Capturing and tracking performance against specs through entire lifecycle
Planning and executing on production volume ramps and handover to sustaining team
Drive the resolution of failure analysis, root cause and corrective actions for field returns
Review and optimize coverage, test limits and guard-banding
Perform capability & margin analysis, correlation studies and yield modeling on new products
Co-ordinate manufacturing documentation for production transfer and product maintenance
Minimum Qualifications:
BSc in a relevant engineering subject.
Ten years’ experience working as a semiconductor product engineer, ideally for automotive mixed-signal products.
In depth knowledge of related quality standards and systems such as JEDEC, ISO-26262, AEC-Q100 and their application, as well as statistical analysis techniques such as dPAT and SPC.
Understanding of wafer fabrication processes (ideally automotive), including fab controls and monitors.
Working knowledge of ATE (e.g. Advantest 93k) capabilities and technologies, for both wafer probe and packaged products.
