Job Description:
The role will generate, maintain, enhance and drive Microchip’s sales and business relationships with key clients in the United Kingdom.
Main Tasks
1. To identify, pre-qualify, manage and close on major projects and new opportunities.
2. To coordinate Microchip’s technical and commercial resources with key client projects in order to increase sales and sales potential.
3. To provide quarterly billing forecasts for direct customers. Also provide weekly booking forecasts and other ad hoc reports as required.
4. To work closely with the relevant Segment Leaders , Business Units , Function Specialists within Microchip to enhance the Total System Solution to the target clients.
5. Build a good working relationship with the Strategic Global Account Manager for the specific accounts you are responsible for who are part of the Global Account Program.
6. To use the Microchip Client Engagement Process to gain credibility with clients and offer insights about their business which link back to Microchip‘s solutions.
7. To maintain Microchip’s Salesforce based CRM tool - Compass
8. To work as part of the wider EMEA sales and applications team and attend team meetings and other specific events
Requirements/Qualifications:
- BSc in Electrical, Electronic or associated engineering disciplines or equivalent.
- At least 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Track record of sales success in a design-in environment, in market segments such as automotive, consumer, metering and industrial.
- Should be conversant with the semiconductor industry and familiarity with microcontroller, analog , wireless and networking products would be advantageous.
