The Impact You'll Make

The Strategic Commodity Manager is positioned at the interface between Lam product teams and industries/suppliers that provide core component technologies. Responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, recommending product innovations based on technology development and maintaining supplier partner relationships. The position requires an interest in market dynamics, negotiation and pricing, manufacturing processes, supply chain optimization, risk mitigation and collaboration across internal and external organizations.

 

In this position you will play a vital role managing the RF Generator commodity space. You will work across organizations to; formulate and execute commodity strategies, align development deliverables, negotiate contracts/agreements, benchmark suppliers and resolve systemic delivery, cost, and production challenges.

 

 

What You'll Do

  • You will develop, align, and implement commodity and supply chain strategies:.
    • Understand commodity landscape to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces.
  • Negotiate, manage, and maintain supplier agreements that provide optimal terms.
  • Collaborate across the Lam organization to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Optimize supply chain/supplier performance through cost, capacity scenario analysis and benchmarking.
  • Excellent analytical and written/oral communication skills with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization, including executives.
  • Influence skills: experienced communicator with the ability to communicate critical thinking ideas and concepts.
    • Capable of developing and delivering compelling arguments and presentations
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and business processes.

Who We're Looking For

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or a technical field)
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience in a similar role; preferably in Semiconductor industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills and professional level of emotional intelligence necessary to achieve the desired objective deliverables.
  • Proven experience of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with history of successful resolution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: Min $129,000 -  Max $272,000

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
