Job Description
KLA seeks a highly organized team player with extensive sales experience in metrology and/or defect inspection test systems to join our Automated Metrology and Defect Inspection Tools (Fabs) Sales organization as a Sales Account Manager for Japan. Responsible for business development and sales support working in collaboration with our direct sales team and sales reps involved in selling the KLA Instrument Group’s Automated products to Semiconductor/Electronics customers. Responsible for meeting bookings and revenue targets along with execution of the business growth strategy for the territory. Role includes new account development and expansion of existing accounts in addition to development of new business opportunities and maintenance of customer relationships across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve Bookings/Revenue targets for the region.
- Closely work with direct team and distributors to develop and execute sales growth plans. Establish a regular cadence for growing the business which includes regular visits for business reviews, trade shows and customer visits
- Manage strategic sales accounts directly and assist with technical selling, business development, qualifying new applications, markets, and customers
- Support direct sales team and distributors with respect to product information, system configurations, quotations and marketing tools
- Understand the metrology requirements of customers and suggest solutions using KLA’s various metrology and defect inspection techniques.
- Deliver accurate product sales forecasts through close management of sales forecasting via CRM
- Performance management including coaching of sales team members to achieve maximum potential and continuous monitoring of performance to important metrics
- Work closely with colleagues in Marketing to develop lead generation strategies including in targeted strategic vertical markets
- Formal reporting and feedback to management and Business Units on the execution of sales strategy, competitive landscape and overall business performance within the region
- Deliver long term growth for the region which includes recruitment/training of team members and driving best-in-class sales processes across the organization
- Willing to travel up to 50%
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor of Science or Engineering undergraduate degree. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales of automated metrology or inspection tools to semiconductor/electronics customers in Japan.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve shared goals, but also equally comfortable working independently
- Ability to deliver effective technical presentations to customers
- Result-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills along with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication along with accomplished digital literacy
- Experience with Miller Heiman Sales techniques and Salesforce CRM is a plus
