PURPOSE:
The Sr. Staff MEMS Process Integration Engineer will work in our world-class MEMS wafer fabrication facility.  This role is responsible for New Product Introduction, Process Development, Process Transfer to High Volume Manufacturing, Failure Analysis, Yield Improvement, and Metrology Support.  This engineer will collaborate and lead cross-functional projects and on-time delivery of new products.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop next generation products and delivery to customer on time.
  • Use extensive hands-on wafer fab process experience (Lithography, Electroplating, Wet Process, Planarization) to drive process development and failure analysis.
  • Drive continuous process capability and yield improvements through the use of statistical methodologies and root cause analysis.
  • Provide required deliverable and documents for Program Phase Exit, including trend chart, yield data, risk matrix, new tool requirement, and process of record.
  • Lead, document, and follow up on discussions and actions across different groups.
  • Define and support metrology strategy and technique.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • MS or PhD degree in MEMS, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related Engineering field, or BA degree and 10+ years experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of process engineering, process integration, program management, and process development and transfer.
  • Deep fundamental and hands-on understanding and experience in MEMS research/development and manufacturing environments or in Semiconductor industry
  • Expertise in DOE, 6-sigma methodology, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, and data analysis using various applications (Matlab, JMP, MS Excel, etc)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills is a must.  Ability to coordinate and work with customers, other module groups, vendors / suppliers, and operation team.
  • Hands-on experience and understanding of metrology tools and techniques would be plus.
The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $163,400 and $214,410. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands.
