Qorvo is looking for an Engineer to join our Advanced Cellular Customer Quality Engineering team.  As a member of this team you will be directly involved with preventing and resolving customer quality issues for cellular products. This position is responsible for leading internal teams and serving as the customer advocate to improve overall customer satisfaction.  This includes understanding the customers’ quality & reliability requirements, helping to ensure design for quality and reliability are inherent in Qorvo’s processes and products, and generally providing leadership and technical expertise in the areas of quality & reliability. You will have the opportunity to learn state-of the-art products and processes which are critical to Qorvo’s success.  Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to excel in a collaborative team environment is imperative to the success of this position.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate customer requirements and expectations within Qorvo
  • Work with the involved parties to enable the success of customers’ product ramps and mass production.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Design and Manufacturing teams to determine root cause, corrective actions and assess potential reliability risk related to quality excursions
  • Lead cross-functional teams and be responsible for documenting and publishing high quality customer reports
  • Interact with customer and sales on quality topics and close all issues in a timely manner
  • Establish systems and processes to enhance responsiveness to customer requirements and help drive overall quality improvement in Qorvo

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum B.S. in electrical engineering or other related engineering field is required
  • 0-2 years of experience required.
  • Possess skills to effectively lead cross functional teams in quality improvement and problem solving
  • Must have a solid understanding of quality system requirements and quality tools such as 8D, Cause & Effect Diagram, DOE, SPC, FMEA and Lean
  • Capable of using analytical methods to execute a data driven approach to solve problems
  • Strong interest in quality, reliability and problem solving
  • Knowledge of semiconductor device theory and familiarity with RF devices are a plus.  Semiconductor experienced desired.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills
