We are looking for an Automotive Applications Engineer to join Marvell’s Automotive business unit, working with cross functional teams and provide technical support to FAEs and customers. A self-starter with a can-do attitude that can apply PHY and Switching knowledge to address new Automotive Applications.
What You Can Expect
Inbound activities:
- As product collateral owner, generate white papers, applications notes, and apply project management to track and deliver all aspects of product collateral.
- Collaborate with systems team to generate development board schematics, supervise layout review, and generate user manuals for various development boards.
- Stay up to date with Automotive support demands and become the primary Automotive PHY transceiver support and generate training material.
Outbound activities:
- Troubleshoot and debug customers issues and help with customer board bring up. Actively monitor and answer support tickets.
- Maintain records of customer support engagements throughout the customer’s development lifecycle.
- Generate automotive demos showcasing Marvell’s Automotive networking solutions of secure switch and PHY family.
- Generate and present product training materials
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s / Master’s / PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in applications engineering, board development, or system level design and architecture
- Knowledge of Ethernet Transceivers, Ethernet Switching, and networking architectures.
- Worked with schematic capture tools and layout tools.
- Knowledge of high speed SerDes (*GMII, XFI/SFI, PCIe) protocols
- Knowledge of Automotive MDI interfaces 100Base-T1, 1000Base-T1, NBASE-T1 (multi-gig)
- Experience with FW and API support and are comfortable with ARM based platforms.
- Knowledge of a programming language: C or Python.
- Experience with lab debug equipment including oscilloscope and network analyzer.
