What You Can Expect
Department profile:
The System Application group is responsible for the research support of the next
generation silicon development and customer issue debug regarding the SoC and Read Channel designed by Marvell.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional and performance validation on HDD SOC and RDC. This includes power analysis and performing electrical characterization across process, voltage, temperature corners.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to perform failure analysis on customer returned units.
- Responsibilities also include test plan development, test automation, and test report generation.
- Work with design and validation teams to debug and resolve issues raised by both internal and external customers.
- Provide technical support to Field Application Engineers, Test Engineers, Documentation team, and customers
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 8 years of related professional experience.
- Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields
with 5 years of experience.
- 5+ years of Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Read Channel (RDC) Experience
- 3+ years product development engineering, hardware test, validation, debug and\or bring-
up, preferably on boards with embedded systems
- 2+ years developing test & validation firmware for multi-core ARM-based embedded systems
- 1+ years global technical customer support
- Proficiency in C\C++, MATLAB & Python
- Experience in hardware testing or post silicon validation and application debugging of embedded Microcontroller
- Experience with NVMe, SAS and/or SATA is a plus
- Ability to read and understand circuit schematics
- Good verbal and written skills for communication and documentation
- Some knowledge of analog and digital electronic design
- Experience in handling test common electronic test equipment like oscilloscopes
Desired:
- Experience in current HDD and\or SSD technologies, particularly controllers, Read Channel and host interfaces
- Working knowledge of communications theory and signal processing topics
