We're based in Gdansk, Poland, and together with two crucial Intel investments in Europe - Test and Assembly Facility in Wroclaw, Poland and Chip Factory in Magdeburg, Germany - we'll be creating first-of-its-kind end-to-end leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing value chain in this region. We are looking for candidates with solid communication and core software engineering skills; people who can work with domain experts to understand requirements and then propose and implement software solutions. The ideal candidate is not expected to be proficient in all technical domains; however, the candidate is expected to apply their knowledge to new areas and being flexible and open to learning new skills. For this role we are looking for a Software / Firmware Engineer with low-level programming experience in Real-Time or Embedded systems.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications: - BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related technical discipline - 3+ years of experience in SW development - Fluency in C and C++ (11/14+) - Work experience with Linux projects (development, problem solving) - Good understanding of at least one scripting language (Python, Bash) - Git version control - Fluent verbal and written English allowing easy communication with stakeholders - Self-driven, open-minded, and adaptable Seen as advantage: - Experience in low-level software optimizations to maximize hardware utilization - Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch - Familiarity with Simics (user or developer) - Kernel patches contribution to Linux project, or any other related - Participation in open-source embedded projects - Experience with RTOS or Embedded or low-level SW development

Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
