Here’s the Gist:
This Industrial Engineer position will be apart of the Manufacturing Operations team supporting capacity planning, data analytics and reporting solutions to help optimize resource utilization and support continuous improvement.
This position will transition to MACOM as part of Wolfspeed’s plan to convey RTP site.
The Day-to-Day:
- Maintain capacity model to support a high-volume production line. Communicate regularly with management and other functional groups ensure help evaluate and set priorities.
- Lead and initiate WIP flow management optimization projects, to improve equipment utilization, FAB cycle time and on-time delivery as well as cost reduction and yield improvement.
- Participate in 5S and Lean manufacturing initiatives
- Support manufacturing to address data and reporting issues as they arise.
- Work with planning, product teams and leadership on manufacturing roadmaps for the site, including capacity and site planning.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- 2-3 years of experience in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering
- BS degree from a four-year college/university in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related field
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Overall knowledge of industrial engineering to support fab capacity planning, resource utilization and lean manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial reporting solutions like Power BI
- High proficiency in the use of computer applications such as Excel, Word, statistical analysis software, database creation and management. Experience with databases and data analysis tools (SQL preferably Oracle based, Access, JMP, VBA, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- High motivation with continuous drive for improvement.
